Another Friday and another AFS presentation. Only this time I had to stand in front of a roomfull of people and talk about Minnesota. It was horrible. I was incredibly nervous, which made me stiff and awkward, and my voice was jumping octaves and wavering. I didn't use the notes I wrote because I wanted to look more natural (ha!), so the

I'm sorry for you and your host family that there are problems. Gives them *hugs* It kinda sounds just like situations that happen all the time in the US. Apparently misunderstanding is a universal quality.

I'm glad that your presentation turned out okay (if short). And yes, strage fright sucks. You should join the speech team! :P I'm actually quite impressed with you being able to do a talk like that without notes. I get way too nervous and flustered whenever I try to. And out of curiousity what did you say about Minnesota?

Well, I did get way too nervous and flustered. I talked about the basics like size, population, bird, flower, etc.; the St. Paul winter carnival with the ice castle; theater (apparently Minneapolis has more per person than any other city in the US, including NY!); hockey; agriculture; and a little bit about the MoA. It was disorganized and really short. But it's now over with! Yay!

EVERYONE IS TALKING ABOUT TAFT and I have no idea what's going on, because I had nothing to do with whatever it is. I think I'm going to look now and figure this out for myself.

I'm posting them as soon as I have the time -- I got picture CD's.

Obviously you now know what that was about, since the photos are now up. And you did make me very very happy! That was a really incredible day, and summer as a whole. So, if it wasn't you who posted the Taft picture, then who was it? I'm confuddled.

CAROLINE!!!!!! YOU HAVE NO IDEA! (how much I miss you. but of course I'm glad you went, becuase it sounds as though you're doing great, and I know you're deep enough to see the awesomeness of what you're doing.) Anyways. I HAVE to go. But, I haven't been being good, have I? I should send you more this that and the other. I hope you got my last letter. I love you and miss you, and will send you something soon. If it's the one where you told me you're now going out with Henry, then we're talking about the same letter. If not, then I'm excited because I'm getting mail soon! And I'm disturbed by the postal system if you still haven't gotten my letter. There must be a black hole somewhere in the Carribean, directly between Costa Rica and Minnesota, that only swallows mail. Yes, that's it.
