(no subject)
PSATs are OVER!!! Okay, so they were over on Wednesday, but I haven't been using the computer too much. And yesterday afternoon I actually had a good time spending several hours at a mall with my host mom, despite the fact that we went to a couple expensive clothes stores, which generally depress me. I got new running shoes (which I badly needed), and we looked at Christmas decorations! Please tell me I haven't been here THAT long. That's just not possible to believe. And yesterday night was an AFS activity that made me incredibly happy. I played the Star Spangled Banner alone in front of an audience and was unbelievably nervous and awkward (that part didn't make me happy), but there were exhibits from a bunch of countries and I met another student from Thailand who was really cool. Her name's Palm, and she wrote my name in Thai! And apparently ALL the food is really spicy in Thailand. I could never live there. And Salla (the Finnish exchange student) danced a typical/traditional Costa Rican dance with a guy from Colombia. (The bolding's a little excessive, isn't it.)
