Tutorial One:
7 Steps
Made in Photoshop CS2
Level: "easy"
Warning: You must know some basic concepts about tutorials

Base:

# 1:
Duplicate base once, set to screen, opacity 27%.

# 2:
new adjustment layer > hue/saturation.
Master:
Boost the saturation to +13

# 3:
Go Layer->New Adjustment Layer->Selective Color
Method: Relative

Reds: C: -100 M:-3 Y:+100 B:0
Yellows: C:+82 M:-1 Y:-89 B:0
Greens: C:-96 M:+94 Y:0 B:0
Cyans: C:+100 M:0 Y:0 B:0
Blues: C:+100 M:0 Y:0 B:0
Magentas: C:-100 M:+100 Y:100 B:100
Neutrals: C: +15 M:+1 Y:-4 B:0

# 4:
New adjustment layer > color balance.
Midtones: -55 | +11 | -19
Make sure preserve luminosity is selected.

# 5:
Go Layer->New Adjustment Layer->Selective Color
Method: Relative
Reds: C: -100 M:+3 Y:+3 B:-8
Yellows: C:-31 M:+6 Y:-11 B:0
Neutrals: C: +13 M:-16 Y:-9 B:0

# 6:
Go Layer->New Adjustment Layer->Selective Color
Method: Relative
Reds: C: +78 M:+2 Y:0 B:0
Yellows: C:+11 M:+6 Y:+14 B:+20
Neutrals: C: +8 M:-15 Y:-6 B:0

# 7:
Make a new Selective Colouring Layer.
Method: Relative
Reds:
C: +34 M:0 Y:-19 B:0

Now go back to #2, use the appropriate brush (ex:Soft Round), afterwards pick black brush, select Selective Colouring Layer on the layer tab, highlight the red spots on the icon and it will get rid of those spots. If you accidentally highlighted the wrong one, all you need to do to fix it is just pick white brush and highlight the wrongly highlighted one. It would resume its original stage.

And you're all done !

Create a new layer, flood fill with #010431, set to Exclusion, opacity 100%.

# 3:
Go Layer->New Adjustment Layer->Selective Color
Method: Relative
Reds: C: -84 M:-2 Y:+53 B:+6
Yellows: C:-23 M:-20 Y:+87 B:0
Greens: C:-18 M:-62 Y:0 B:0
Whites: C:0 M:-24 Y:0 B:0
Neutrals: C: -33 M:-7 Y:+17 B:+5

# 4:
Go Layer->New Adjustment Layer->Selective Color
Method: Relative
Reds: C: -100 M:+7 Y:-17 B:+3
Yellows: C:+20 M:+2 Y:-54 B:0
Whites: C:-76 M:+91 Y:+63 B:-29
Neutrals: C:+92 M:-35 Y:-42 B:+17
Blacks: C:+100 M:-5 Y:-5 B:+30

If you couldn’t make your icon the same color as mine, you may download PSD file.
I think you should follow the steps shown in this tut, refrain from downloading too much PSD file because it won’t do you good in learning PTS ^ ^ ~
