McCain's health plan.

I came across an informative link concerning McCain’s health plan.

Talk about a shock to the system. Has anyone bothered to notice the radical changes that John McCain and Sarah Palin are planning for the nation’s health insurance system?

These are changes that will set in motion nothing less than the dismantling of the employer-based coverage that protects most American families.

For starters, the McCain health plan would treat employer-paid health benefits as income that employees would have to pay taxes on.

Admittedly, it looks like something that would hit me hard, since I’m a government stiff who gets a huge portion of my medical benefit paid for by my employer. ($11,800 Medical/Pharmacy/Dental in 2007) It’s easy to forget about since I don’t really see it on my paycheck. I do get reminded annually with a total compensation statement, though.

The article goes on to describe how this is the poison pill that will set in motion the dissolution of employer provided group rate insurance.
