I’m reading former White House Press Secretary Scott McClellan’s “tell all” book What Happened: Inside the Bush White House and Washington’s Culture of Deception. One of the first things he does is lay out was his reasoning for the excitement and honor he felt when initially joining the GW Bush team. His reasoning for the excitement and joy was because of the shiny-happy bipartisan utopia Bush had created in Texas.
I believe I have a handful of Texas readers, so, how does your view line up with this. (Yeah, I’m pretty much trolling for comments, but the question remains.) I ask because this is the groundwork he’s laid out and so far colors his narrative.
Admittedly, I’m barely 100 pages in, so I don’t have the whole picture yet. I did just pass a section where he stabs Karl Rove and Karen Hughes a bit, though.
