Robyn Hitchcock and I share a birthday

Mar 03, 2003 00:25

Just got back from seeing Robyn Hitchcock at the Royal Festival Hall, playing in celebration of his 50th birthday. I missed him playing just down the street from me in 1994, so damnit, I did go out of my way this time. It was nice. And he played Baloon Man which I was rather in the mood for and hoping he'd play. Plus Alan Rickman randomly showed up on stage reading some of Robyn's poetry. Nice addition.

This birthday season's gone well. I've a job. Not a new one, just a new contract at the last place, for just long enuf to look for and find a real job, hopefully. Nice celebrations have been going on, with people I actually was to see coming out. Wedding plannings have been taking up a bit of time. Still haven't decided on a date or country, but we're narrowing it down. All I know it will take place sometime between 6 and 10 months from now.
