Things...they go well.

I'm not quite as bored as I expected to be this summer. I've made some trips home and trips to see people, and traveling has been punctuated by WEDDINGS (aka--drunken stupors), so I've barely noticed the nothing I have to do.

The two weddings I went to this summer both turned into WEEKENDS (Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, hangover on Sunday) of drunken craziness. I got to see a lot of people, both people I hadn't seen since May and people I hadn't seen in years, and it was wonderful. Oh, and I got to see couples affirm their love with marriage vows. Whatever. Thanks to the craziness of those two respective weekends, our fridge has actually CRACKED from too much beer-weight, all but one of our kitchen chairs is broken, my cool green chair has a lil bit of puke on it, someone's boxer shorts ended up in the trash, and no one can drink fruit punch anymore, at least not for a while. Good times, good times.

I'm basically ready for Boone. I'm registered for classes, I have an assistantship lined up, I've completed most of my pre-semester reading materials, I have more student loans than I care to think about, and I have an APARTMENT! Juuuussst waiting for August 17th to roll around...

Today I moved the first load of my stuff into the apartment. Since I only live 80 or so miles away, the trip to and from is completely do-able in a day. The place doesn't have electricity yet (I'm going to procrastinate on that so I don't have to pay for times I'm not actually living there), so I peaced before it got dark. The place is kind of small but liveable. I can't wait to decorate!

I'll be living with another girl in the Clinical Health Psych program. I have physically seen this girl (she was part of my interview group), but wasn't able to meet her while I was there. From our emails, she seems nice. I'm a little nervous that she won't like the place, but as she lives in Delaware she wasn't able to view places with me. Here's hoping she's not excessively picky...

I guess that's it for now. Um...peace.
