Not a notable mark but I've been thinking about some of the notable things that I remember that many of you only saw in history books ;)
I remember the Coronation of Queen Elisabeth. What stands out is that I remember that we had to wait for a film to be flown from England before we could see it on our black and white TVs.
I remember the signing of the peace accord with North Korea ending the UN action against them. We continued to have Air Raid Drills in school where we would duck under the desks and keep our eyes closed for when the Russians bombed us.
I Remember General Eisenhower running for President.
and for those even younger I remember being invited into the home of one of those early adopter types to watch the inauguration of President Kennedy on LIVE COLOR TV.
