Originally uploaded by Rock me Dr. Zaius. My mom and I took the kids to the beach yesterday. As we were walking, we passed a set of garbage cans for various waste-y materials. One was labeled "aluminum." Olivia pointed to the sign and said, "aluminum." My mom and I looked at each other, and I asked Olivia to "say that again, please." Olivia replied, "aluminum."
It was very bizarre. She has a sight-word vocabulary of about 20 words, but I don't know how aluminum would be one of them, and I can't recall a time when aluminum would have been a word she heard. I actually feel a little weird about posting this, but I needed an excuse to post a new picture. Hooray!
