The most traumatic event in the last three months of my life was this morning when I realized that my andrew account has been deactivated. The horrors! Oddly enough, my website is still up, although I can't edit it...
Life signs increased with the return to work after spring break. This goes to confirm my belief that I refuse to be happy sitting still. I always have been a figiter. I think it has something to do with validating why I consciously decided to spend the next five years secluded in a bubble where it doesn't stretch the imagination too much to expect snow on my birthday in May.
My paper got rejected from an AIAA conference, but I'm submitting a better one to another, much cooler one. Granted it is in Michigan as opposed to South Carolina, but really. Who throws a shoe? I'm writing it on a new concept for maintaining satellite formations without active control. I've got some pretty cool concepts with respect to sparse aperture telescopes and gryostabilization and it has me very excited.
Recently watched "Encino Man" accompanied by the other M&AE grad students and several vodka tonics and screwdrivers as the start of the summer Polly Shore movie festival. It was amazing. Really. Also got around to watching "Total Recall," which made "The Abyss" so much worse. Or Schwarzenegger so much better..... Sometimes it's so hard to tell!
