I hate smart phones. I don't hate a lot of things, but I truly believe that I hate smartphones. And I'm in a struggle with myself because this coming july i have the opportunity to have a smart phone. I acknowledge they're cool and all, and they have a lot of great functions that are highly useful. But i hate the way theyve changed human communication. I hate that people have to take them out every couple of minutes so they can check facebook or email or whatever the hell it is that they have to look at constantly. Why don't you just stay home then? Why don't you go see those people if they're so interesting? Why did you bother seeing me if im obviously not as interesting or attention grabbing as facebook? What could possibly happen every five minutes that you just have to check?
It especially annoys me when they're not even checking anything important. "What're you looking at?" "Oh just pictures on my friend's profile."
Am I that fucking boring? Are you so disineterested that you can't strike up a conversation with me? You have to go searching for people's pictures. And it's not even like they're people you just saw or they just put up those pictures. Oh, no. Just browsing through their old photos.
