I wish I could go back to when I was creative again. When I could sit down at the piano and churn out a song and like it. Or when I could take out a pen and just write for hours on end. Robert, my dear friend, you are incredibly talented. I know that might not believe these words because I am always complimenting you, making it seem less special, but I wouldn't say the words if they were not true. Your words and your music are truly inspiring and no one, friend, family member, or an acquaintance should persuade you otherwise. Any person who does not appreciate the emotion that you put into writing words and or music for them is an absolute idiot. Honestly. I would not say it if it were not true. They don't deserve all of the amazing things that you have to offer.
You really amaze me. The honesty that you are able to put into your words is astounding and the emotions that you depict are ones that so many feel, but are too frightened to admit it, or to confused to realize that that is how they are feeling. I hope that you will be able to look back the critics, and I know it is difficult when it is someone near and dear to your heart, and continue to write for the many people who love your work, but most importantly for yourself.
