COMPLETELY NEW SUBJECT

No, not only do you just have to pray and ask. You have to pray and ask sincerely...with the pure intent to get an answer. You must have some particle of faith in your heart and believe...then ask and pray sincerely....then you must wait and listen; don't just get up and do your daily tasks immediately after. You must wait and listen and try to feel the answer. THAT is when you will truly receive an answer of the truthfulness of this church. You must have some particle of faith before you pray. Without at least SOME faith, nothing will happen.

Alma 32:27-29
But behold, if ye will awake and arouse your faculties, even to an experiment upon my words, and exercise a particle of faith, yea, even if ye can no more than desire to believe, let this desire work in you, even until ye believe in a manner that ye can give place for a portion of my words.
Now, we will compare the word unto a seed. Now, if ye give place, that a seed may be planted in your heart, behold, if it be a true seed, or a good seed, if ye do not cast it out by your unbelief, that ye will resist the Spirit of the Lord, behold, it will begin to swell within your breasts; and when you feel these swelling motions, ye will begin to say wihtin yourselves--It must needs be that this is a good seed, or that the word is good, for it beginneth to enlarge my soul; yea, it beginneth to enlighten my understanding, yea, it beginnethg to be delicious to me.
Now behold, would not this increase your faith? I say unto you, Yea; nevertheless it hath not grown up to a perfect knowledge.

BASICALLY this is saying...
if you wanna know if this is true and good, you have to have some faith and exercise that faith...meaning...go to church and listen and apply the lessons, pray sincerely with real intent, read and study the scriptures and actually try to comprehend and learn from them, ask your leaders questions if you don't understand something, be sincere in all your doings with trying to find out what is good and true. Of course, that is not ALL of what this scripture is saying, there is much more to be learned from these few verses. But in order to gain more faith, you must desire to believe...at least that. You can't just pray haphazardly to have faith. You must have SOME faith in order to increase your faith. This in the last verse it says that even though your faith will grow, it won't be perfect knowledge. That's right...you still won't know everything.
Of course it won't be perfect. If it were a perfect knowledge, there would be no need for faith and we wouldn't really need to be here, talking about this, anymore...for any reason at all.

Basically, if you want more faith, you must have and exercise some sort of faith in what you are trying to figure out.

Trust me...this is real.

I love you guys, and I'd never lie to you. Ever. Unless it was a joke...and this is no joke.
