Twas a night before Christmas (Catlett Style

Whoever said, "Great minds think alike" was completely right for me and my daddy are proof! Last night during my down hours of before christmas blues I was struck by inspiration! So it was that at 1:30am I was composing my epic Christmas poem. What I wasn't aware of was the fact that my daddy at exactly 11:30 was talking to my brother about composing one also. He was formulating his in his head at the exact same time I was typing mine. If this is not weird enough for you observe the names on both... yeah I know freaky! ;)

TWAS THE NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS (CATLETT STYLE)

It was the night before Christmas and all through the house,
All the kittens were playing with a dead mouse,
The stockings were hung on the hallway door with care,
Except for the one that saddly wasn't there.

Baby Hughy (Alex) was snug in his bed,
With visions of "cool stuff" dancing through his head,
And Baby curled up in the blankets she stole,
Was eyeing the kittens as if nobody would know.

Mom was all decked out in a flannel gown to her feet,
Always looking toward May and saying: "Wont it be sweet",
Her hair all pulled back with a hairtie and bow,
Knowing that with these kittens these too will be stole.

And I sit here typing my Christmas poem to you,
As the kittens fight over a plastic bag: "Dang those two!"
And watching one kitten lay on my printer I'm in dismay,
But know my daughter wouldn't have it any other way.

So once again it's Christmas Eve in Catlett,
What rhymes with Catlett: "How about cat .... poop"
But what matters the most ANY! time of year,
Is that we love you and that you are most dear.

See and I think we have a little of the same humor in it also ;) I love my daddy and my mommy and my brother and my entire family. I miss you guys and wish I was there, but having this odd connection makes it like I am there anyway. I love you all! Merry Christmas!
