After a customer at the store today asked about it, I've been playing around with
Speakable Items on my Mac tonight, for the first time in a while. It's been moderately successful, though I wish it was more comprehensive. It can't close tabs in
Safari, for example; it can only close whole windows. And it still makes reference to
Sherlock, for crying out loud. Clearly in need of some updating.
Anyhow. Reading
Dan's LJ, I saw that his family's annual Black Bean Do is on Saturday, and I wanted to add note to
iCal to this effect.
"Computer", I say. "Open
iCal."
It opens
iTunes.
"Computer", I repeat, trying to enunciate more clearly. "Open EYE-CAL."
It opens
iPhoto.
"Computer," I sigh, "you suck."
...
Speakable Items quits unexpectedly.
-_-; *headdesk*
I love the Mac OS, but the problems I'm having with my first-gen MacBook Pro are trying indeed.
