Hello ya'll
Hello there children!
Haven't been on here for quite a bit, not like anyone cares, it's not like anyone on here checks up on me, or calls or writes or anything like that.
anyway, I've been busy as a mofo lately, my job has pretty much been something of a constant in my life, which hasn't really allowed me to do some of the things I used to do, which includes going to Rocky Horror at Channelside on Friday nights.
This is a shame because I miss the TPDs terribly, but I'm certain they couldn't care less about lil' ol' me anyway in spite of all the love and sweets I've given them over the past year. *sniff*
Seriously, though, I do miss Rocky and the crowd and I hope that something will emerge that will allow an opportunity for Pam and myself to journey back to Channelside.
However, to bring ya'll up to speed, Pam and I are going to become homeowners. a little while ago, we unexpectedly received some call from the offices of the apartment complex we lived in about something along the lines that some deadline to decide if we were gonna move or extend a lease or something or other came about. Pam and I were furious because it pretty much meant that people were trying to kick us out of our home and we had no notice of this at all.
We stormed into the offices and demanded to know just what the hell was going on, and after some confusion, discussion, tears, and so on, we found out that the apartments were being converted to condos, so our only options were to leave or buy. we weren't going to leave, so we decided to buy one of the units, which isn't too far away from where we're at now, so moving won't be that much of a problem quite frankly, at least I hope it won't.
anyway, so we are going to be moving into a two bedroom unit on the first floor, and we're pretty happy about that, it just means we'll be paying a mortgage as opposed to rent, and it means that it's ours and no one can kick us out.
anyway, now that that is over with, lemme just state something ridiculous that happened to me just the other day.
I got this call from someone I forget who, but they said that I had signed up for something online which I don't remember doing at all frankly, but it was some promotional thing for some new travel agency and essentially they gave me an address to go to and a confirmation number or something, saying that once I was there I'd watch some 90 minute presentation about this new company and I'd be given the chance to win 1 out of 4 prizes, a new car, $2500, a new flatscreen TV, or a 7 day cruise. Well I thought this was pretty nice, still being rather skeptical about the whole business, but anyway the day I go to attend this thing I call the guy up for a reminder about the confirmation number, so I write it down and then inform him that I'll be traveling alone, because my wife would be working at the time and would be unable to come with me, and then he says that if I showed up alone I'd be automatically disqualified because of the fact that I had informed him that I was married so it meant that both people had to be there, and frankly I was already on my way and this sonofabitch tells me this as I'm already on my way which is beyond inconvenient quite frankly, so I basically tell him to take his company and his so-called prizes and stick 'em where the sun don't shine.
Fair warning, NEVER fall into any of these promotional gimmicks, because the people behind them are just a bunch of cheats, liars and crooks.
