the last few days have been in agony... someone once said that when men are asked what the worst pain they eever felt in their life was, they reply; toothache. women opt for giving birth. I've had tattoos all over my body, been burned on every limb, and even a few intangible broken hearts don't compare to having the roots of your tooth go to war with a nerve in your skull. it's like a leprecaun crawled in my ear and started stabbing my face and looking for shoes to polish with golf spikes on. on the other hand, i have got to watch some very interesting tv, my regime starts at about 10:00 with a comedic movie (weekend at bernies, or 3 amigos..something like that..) we move into reality TV show reruns (favorites include "ashlee" and of course "the osbournes" but a close third goes to "strange love") we tie it all in with a serial action flick marathon ("rocky", "rambo", "die hard", "alien" etc, they change it up) and end with something along the lines of a great elaborate heist movie ("entrapment", "oceans 11", "how to steal a million", "gone in 60 seconds")...then i fall asleep to a late night talk show with what seems like an monotonous cabinet of revolving guests and jacko jokes that are all promoting the same movies (samuel l jackson, ethan hawk, gweneth paltrow...and musical guests...ryan caberrera or good charlotte)
i have the guitar on my bed within reach in case inspiration strikes me down, but really i hurt to much to sing mostly, and everything just sounds like "something in the way" my nirvana..which is a good sound...don't get me wrong, just not what my fans are used to y'know? and anyway..if vh1 says the 90's are back..its time to start getting back into the 50's or something..ever noticed how the retro thing is rigged? it used to be that the hip decade to reminisce on was 2 decades back (in the 80's it was the 60's, in the 90's it was the 70's..and in the 2000's its all about the 90's already...was that decade so bad that we are already proclaiming it cool) hey...i remember in the 90's we were all trashing inxs and duran duran and billy idol, and now they are in every single commercial that has jeans in it!!! why don't we resurrect some real celebrities like PAUL HOGAN or ummm.....who's the guy who played bill in bill and ted, he was in death wish 3 as well...help. oh, KIRK CAMERON. anyway, everyone is trashing the 90's now and i don't think im ready for that shit to be cool again..we made fun of it when it fucking came out right? or, maybe that was beavis and butt-head's job. i dont think you'll ever hear one of those sarcastic monologues about anything in the 2000's being cool y'know...this is really shaping up to be the worst decade ever!! fuck!! and i still wear the same t-shirts i had in the 90's!! (as i sit with my vintage sonic youth iron-on)
im finished.
