i'm reading this book about this indian woman who (while researching her family history) found out that the day her great great grandmother was supposed to be married, her husband died along the way and the woman was forced to marry a tree; because...marriage in india is much bigger than even the people involved.
i talked to lauren today about marriage, and i'm not entirely sure about it. i think that i wouldn't be able to handle it.
i mean, it's a nice idea-that you find someone you want to spend the rest of your life with, but i just dont think that it'll happen to me.
i get sick of people way too quickly and they get sick of me even quicker.
i hope it does. but i think that the 'idea' of marriage is just blown up wayy out of perspective and people think they have to get married, like in the book.
just to be clear:
i want to find someone to spend the rest of my life with...
i just don't think that is a possiblity for someone like me.
