Still Feeling it from the night before
Was loving life last night as it was Martini Night at Amsterdam Cafe -something that has become routine these days. Frank is leaving for Boston today to visit his only daughter who is about to give birth to his second grandchild any day now. This upset him due to the fact he will be missing my soiree come Saturday so we thought to start off the celebration early?(As if we really needed to have an excuse to have a martini) The night was relatively mellow. About 5 or 6 of us- we all had a couple drinks and headed home for the evening.
David and I got into another little fight on the way home from the bar. We made up before bedtime. It frightens me how we are going to last once we move into together in Jan. Jeffrey is relocating to New York City in less than two months leaving me a two bedroom, two bath apartment with a lease until the end of April. I find it ironic considering about two and half years ago Jeffrey talked me out of moving to NYC and into living in Atlanta with him. It has been a great couple years here with him. I am not sure what exactly how life will be without him. He has been a permanent fixture in my life since I graduated college. I suppose life goes on... But at the same token I am still a little saddened by the situation.
Work week is almost over. Thank god! Keep in mind I still have to work on Saturdays, but we are generally so busy that the day flies by without knowing it. It's typical for most design jobs to have a schedule of Tuesday through Saturday. I don't mind it actually. It allows me to have a day during the week off to run errands.
Tonight I generally would go to Frank's home in Ansley Park where he hosts a group of friends every Friday for cocktails before we head to dinner. However, Frank being in Boston presents me with the issue of what to do tonight? I generally like the mild Friday nights because I work on Saturdays which leaves me Saturday and Sunday night to party like a rockstar. Fortunately one of Frank's friends who attends usually will have people at their home when Frank is out of town. Which is precisely my dilemma. Floyd invited me over to his home in Buckhead for cocktails while Andy & Ken also invited me over in Grant Park. They live on polar opposite sides of the city from one another making it impossible to go to both. There is also the problem of Andy and Ken don't particularly care for Floyd and vice versa. Both are expecting me to attend... what to do?
Three days and counting I will be 25. However, I think I will still respond "24" when asked my age. 25 is not at all old, but why not start lying about your age earlier in life?
Well should be heading to work.
