Happy Thanksgiving!

Jeffrey and I celebrated our first Thanksgiving together three years ago shortly after relocating to the South. It was our first time away from home for the holiday and decided we should have a traditional feast ourselves and begin our own tradition considering we would mainly head home for Christmas instead. That year four of us had dinner around my desk which we turned into a table in Bennington Towers. Alex, Shaun, Jeffrey and Myself all being from the North felt right at home. The following year as we both became more established and connected we found ourselves opening up our apartment to many other transplants from all over the world who were not returning home. I think we had about twelve guests for dinner and about 20 or so for dessert and after turkey cocktails.

This year we decided that this is getting way too expensive and too much work that we decided any who wants to attend may- but they must sign up to bring a dish. Jeffrey is doing the turkey and stuffing, alex the finger foods and pumpkin pies (as well as donating the house this year) Erick vodka and salad, Frank the wine, Jayme is making some kind of smoked gouda (sp?) green bean casserole, and I am making the mashed potatoes. I am assuming everyone is bringing side dishes or an assortment of alcohol as that's how we role.

This year Alex and Shaun are having it their house. NO CLEAN UP!

Well my potatoes are about done need to mash... better go. I will make sure to take lot's of pictures!
