Spinning with blurry Eyes

How long has it been since I made an icon tutorial?
L O N G....................... Since April! *GULP* EKK~

Anyways, I made this for fun, so~

Enjoi~ ^_^)

Model Featuring Ono Satoshi.

Spinning
1, Prepare the image you'll be using. I'm using a fair almost high quality image so I won't be needing to polish it.

2, Create a new layer.
[ new layer > SHIFT + CTRL + N }
And fill it with a light bright blue. Set the mode to Luminosity.

3, Now, you still won't be able to see the image, so bring your image layer and duplicate it,
[ Duplicate Layer > CTRL + J }.
Make sure you've set the mode to Soft Light.
Duplicate this layer, and bring it above the blue layer you've made in step #2, echo the action and duplicate one more time.
You're free to duplicate as much as you want and/or change the opacity or the layer.
But don't overdo, remember!
Everything in moderation!

4, Bring up a new layer, and fill with a dark blue color. Set it to Exclusion. Sorry I'm not saying what colors I'm using, I'm doing this so you'll be able to see for yourself and learn on your own.

5, Again, let's get a new layer, this time we'll fill it a dark shade of red. But, we'll still set it to Exclusion.
If your image looks slightly darker than you've pictured, duplicate it and set it to Lighten, but lower the opacity slighty.

6, Get the original image and stay below the layers that are set on Exclusion, make sure the image is set on Normal, anyways, let's blur it.
[ Filter > Blur > Radial Blur }

SETTINGS:
Amount: Above 30
Blur Method: Zoom
Quality: Best

And finally click ok.

7, By using the eraser tool, erase the areas that would show the original image before blurring, don't erase totally! You'll be missing the point..
=_=);;
Just erase spots where you believe will give a dramatic tale. I personally erased the area around Ono san's face.
OH! Make sure you change the eraser's brush if it's too sharp, make sure it's fluffy and soft!
If you're done with this step, duplicate and set to Soft Light.

8, Almost done~ Bring a new layer, and bring brush.
With a gentle click, brush any area with the color red and set to Lighten.
Remember, a brush! Don't fill the entire thing!

9, Lastly, fill a new layer with the color black.
Let's give it a little light by putting some Lens Flare.
[ Filter > Render > Lens Flare }
You choose what you want, just make sure you don't blast it too much, we don't want it TOO bright.
Then twirl it a bit,
[ Filter > Distort > Twirl }
Play on your own with this, it's fun!
Finally set it to Lighten.

Other icons created using the same method.

I hope you'll learn something out of this~ Hehe.
If you have any questions, ask away. I'll answer them.
