long time, no blog
Welcome back, true believers. This weekend, I did something I haven't done in a long time. I slept. In fact, I slept off the cold I picked up by not sleeping in any significant amount during last weekends trip to the land of make-believe.
I had a good time at Aralis, but it was a little frustrating. The player-characters don't wantonly kill everything that crosses their path like they did in A1 (we're now in the sequel, for anyone who doesn't attend). This is as it should be, but it makes for lots of sitting in jail, and not much dying and coming back as something else armed with a padded stick. The adjustment to this new game is mine to make, however, and I'll figure it out by the time the next event comes to a conclusion. Sadly, my usual agenda of making sure the PCs quake in fear at all hours of the day and night is going to have to be put on hold for now.
In the real world, I'm biding my time and contemplating my place. I haven't been doing much at all on the blogging/podcasting front. Citizenzero.net fell prey to purveyors of scantly clad asian women and had to be shut down. I'm not sure that I'll try to videoblog all by myself again, but I plan on doing something to keep my hands busy. Otherwise, I'll just play city of heroes all day. MMO's will eat your life.
I'm hoping that tonight it the night that I finally get my xbox and my mythtv machine on speaking terms. keep your fingers crossed for me.
