Broadway in shambles
I guess this ridiculous economy is really affecting theater goers...
Rent - CLOSED 9/7/08
Xanadu - CLOSED 9/28/08
Legally Blonde - CLOSED 10/18/08
Closing dates announces for:
Hairspray - CLOSING 1/4/09
Spamalot - CLOSING 1/18/09
Spring Awakening - CLOSING 1/18/09
Some of these will live on with their national tours but there is nothing like seeing a show live in NYC. I have not seen Spring Awakening or Spamalot yet so I guess I better head into the city soon.
There are other shows I missed that have closed this past year but these shows are all closing so close to each other. It sucks.
