So I am quite enjoying week 2 of spring break. Week 1 was awesome in alot of ways and the pinnacle of the awesomeness revovled around a crazy roller coast ride of a trip to New York City on Saturday. Jenny and I had a blast in new york. I have a vinyl addiction to this record store, Deadly Dragon (www.deadlydragonsound.com). I spent a ridiculous amount of payola in there but well worth it. We had a couple problems returning to Baltimore and I had to hail a new york city cab. I am not that good at hailing a cab(i've never done it before) but it was pretty exciting. Except I kept hailing cabs with people in it. The trip and ride up was so much fun and it gave Jenny and I a long time to just talk and hangout alone which we hadn't done in quite some time. So that was cool yo... But oh my gosh getting back to Baltimore from Chinatown in New York was quite the adventure. After overselling 2 of the buses we had reserved tickets to get home on we had quite an anxiety about not being able to take a train until 11pm. (Our original bus was supposed to leave at 6pm) So we got our refund around 830pm and then decided to just return via the air conditioned greyhound bus. Our bus we took in the morning had no air :-( BUt the rideback was probably one of the best parts of the trip emotions were running high during the whole debacle with the chinatown bus. Some yelling, crying, anger, blah blah blah but it all worked out and by the end of the trip we both had the biggest smiles on our faces.
This week is all about reading. I know it's not that wild but it's all about reading about wild things! Besides all this reading I am working a bunch. I think I may be going to a baseball game this week, going to see the Safes, Lexington Arrows, Sick Sick Sick Birds, Five Masertias show at the sidebar on Thursday. I really want to go see some movies too. Friday we are playing the warehouse next door. This will be quite an awesome ska/reggae filled extravaganza.
Friday April 21st WND with Rootworkers (awesome reggae from baltimore), Ready Steady Go! (my band dc ska rock n roll), Ruder Than You (Philly ska/reggae), and the Pressure Sounds (dc ska/reggae w/former checkered cabs and downbeat rulers). We are playing early 2nd so make sure you get there to see us and the Rootworkers. Doors are at 830pm.
I need find other exciting plans to fill up the week with. So let me know if anything else is going on. Agh also I missed Gogel Bordello show at the 930 club due to my confusion of the date. I thought it was the following week d'oh! I should keep one of those calendar thingies on my desk. I keep having these senior forgetful moments before I'm 25. I think it's my constant multitasking of just keeping myself busy and busy and busy. I love it! I love and have always lived life at 80 mph I don't think I would want it any other way.
