Ahhh...my favourite anchorite. I visited her cell in Norwich recently.

How large is it? I realize that I have always pictured it as nearly a well, too small for lying down! :D

It is a reconstruction as the church was bombed during WWII BUT it is a faithful reconstruction as to size and place...and there is room to lay down and a small prayer altar.

I'm sorry I can't give you a full room photo for scale but it's quite small. I took these photos in her cell.
