6--what do you considered the highest form of intimacy? does it vary on the person?
I would say that i have been intimate with two people; i have also had sex with two people and one of those i was also intimate with. One of the two, the one i didn't have sex with was my "mentor" who i will talk about under a later question. The other is my wife of almost 55 years.
I spent a long time feigning intimacy with her and even longer trying to achieve genuine intimacy. Her priest calls us "the team;" but he does not know our private lives or thoughts. I think we are close but every once in while my actions or words illustraste the great distance i have put between us and i try, usually unsuccessfully, to figure it out. But she loves me, and i know it and i think i love her and i think she knows it.
Intimacy is a shared feeling of closeness with plenty of mutually acceptable spaces in it. The physical accoutrements and verbal exchanges are less important than that feeling. I have it now, i didn't have it an hour ago. I don't think she ever loses it,
