Dependent Origination And Symbolic Interaction (Step One Note)
I struggle with "wise view," the first step on the eight-fold path....Sorry, this is a post almost without content.
dependent origination is a sub species of the illusion of duality.
symbolic interaction is a subspecies of dependent origination.
If this exits. that exists
For this to cease, that must cease
What is "this?" Any object of perception, feeling, thought, or activity.
What is "that?" Any other thing. -- the Buddha
What is mind? A product of self and society.
What is self? a product of mind and society.
What is society? a product of mind(s) and self(selves) -- George Herbert Mead
If self can cease,
mind and society can also cease
at least for me.
It will be true for me when i die? Of course it will.
Will it be true for me if i die to self? Mystics say it will.
Will i like that? Well, if there is still an "i" it probably will.like "it."
Nirvana, you know. paradise, heaven, the awesome emptiness.
