Poetry Chaikhana | Arapaho (Anonymous) - Arapaho Ghost Dance Songs

We have the attitude that "whoever dies with the most toys wins."
Some politicians in the 60s thought thermonuclear war was acceptable provided that we took the enemy with us as the world was destroyed.

We think we are evolution's goal; but perhaps we were just God's afterthought.
It is nice that some other consciousness be here to enjoy the beauty.

The counterprotest over "Cecil's" death (It was only a lion!) reminds me how anthrocentric we are about our own place and role in the universe.  We are not God's or evolutions "crowning achievement" but simply "a part of it."

sacred poetry, sacred space, spiritual practice, nature mysticism
