I don't know that I have anything coherent to say, really. But this is great. The way you handled Frank realization that he had to let go just hurt my heart so much.
I don't really know why, but Frank's thought at the end, the "You idiot, now you're not going to remember..." thought, really hit me. And I don't know if you meant for it to read this way, but I like the feeling that it was Bob's decision to confront Frank *without* Frank having done anything that made him able to remember. Like, he needed some semblance of control over the situation that he didn't ever have when he was just being informed of what was going on or reacting to Frank's kissing him. Pretty much when I realized that Bob was the one who instigated the confrontation and the kiss, I figured out that was going to be the time it didn't vanish (and not just because I was getting close to the end and desperate for a happy ending). It felt... right.
