Last night I made the stay for the front fender and got both the front and back bolted on to the bike. They turned out pretty well, if I do say so myself. There is some strangeness, and I hope the front one doesn't crack, but overall I'm quite pleased with them.
I think the hardest part of the process is finding the hardware for them. Next time, I think I might make my own brackets.
In the future, having access to a drill press, band saw, and dremel (in that order of usefulness) would be very handy for the process and make the whole thing go smoother.
I'm working on another set for Heather, which I think will be even nicer than these!
