All Work and No Play Makes Bobbo a Dull Boy
phew... what a day...
Woke up at 10:30, drove 100 miles south to Concord so I could add to my inamorous cd collection at g00d prices (<3 Best Buy), stopped for lunch, drove 100 miles back north. That absorbed a good 4 and half hours right there, but it's always worth it. Finally got Black Rebel Motorcycle Club's first cd that I've been searching for for a long while.
It rained all day today... rainy and cold. Winter is coming.... which makes Bobbo do this :) many times over. I love winter here. Tons of snow, lasts forever... The only thing that sucks is the dipping well below 0 degrees (farenheit). But of course, the winter last year was just insane. I distinctly remember one day when the temprature in the morning was -30... and by the time school let out at 2:45, it was 60... not negative 60.. +60! That's a 90 degree difference in the span of about 7 or 8 hours.
Anyway, so I got home from Concord and watched the baseball playoff games that were being shown. Watched the tail end of the Yankees/Twins game (which the Yanks won.. oh yeah ^_^)... and watched as the Marlins stunned everyone by defeating the Giants. The Marlins certainly have a flair for the dramatics, that's for sure. Another late inning win for them. Braves beat the Cubbies though... bah... Game 5 tomorrow.
Went to work at 6:00... Apparently Shawn got the axe. He was canned over the week because he pulled another disappearing act during the week (read: he never showed up to work on Sunday, the second time in three weeks he did so). So I had to work with Barbara... yeah, THAT's fun.. >_<. But she left after the first show leaving me alone.. which is how I like it for the most part.
None of my friends showed up this weekend (surprisingly, because I knew about 4 or 5 people who wanted to see one of the movies that wasplaying)... But someone else showed up... wouldn't exactly call her a friend either...
Carabeth showed up... again. What a surprise, right? She said she wanted to stay out and "gaze into my moonstruck eyes".. but she came to watch the movie this time. I ask her which one she was watching and she says "Underworld"... (This is the good part ^_^) Underworld is rated-R.. meaning you need to be 17 to see it. Of course, we bend the rule.. Gordi said to let in no younger than 14. Well... guess who's younger than 14? So, I call Merrill over and we ask her who she was with. She points to her friends... none of whom break the 14-year old barrier. So, they all either have to leave or go see Secondhand Lions (blegh...). She was sooo pissed off at me when she went into the other movie. She was like "I can't believe you ratted me out. I thought you were cooler than that."... So hopefully that'll end her stalkiness of me. But then again, I dunno.
That girl who looks like Elyse F. also showed up again. Third time I've been working that she's showed up (not that I'm keeping tab or anything >_>). So yeah, I finally tell her that she looks like someone I know. I guess it intrigued her or something. She asked like what her name was and if she was from around here. Ha.. I accused her of being Elyse's clone sent for diabolic schemes to favor the Libertarian party. We shared a laugh.. she's like "Well, maybe I'm her twin sister separated at birth or something." So, I ask her a question to prove it all... What's the uber-secret word that anyone who know's Elyse would know?"... Her answer wasn't bad (Glachenspeil), but not the answer we were looking for... I told her in was Murrrr... and we were like "Well, that proves it... Kinda depressing..." .. Finally got her name so I dont' have to keep calling her girl that looks like murrrr... (ie: Christa)
So, later that night... It's in between the first and second shows, I'm waiting for them to get out so I could continue my work. And officer Pennock comes in... no biggie. A cop always comes in on Saturday as a routine round just to see how things are. Sometimes they stay around for a little chat or something. Today looked like it was no different. But apparently Officer Pennock was there to see if Shawn was working there because he had a warrant for his arrest. No details, just he had a warrant to take Shawn downtown... mroo? That kid was trouble for the most part anyway. I was thinking about it and I was thinking that maybe he keelhauled his brother or something.. meh, I dunno. I won't say anything or speculate when I don't know anything.
Anyway, I'm tired now... sleep is inevitable within the next 5 seconds... 4......3.....2.......
