At first I was enthralled
Then not so much
But now the excitement has returned.
After coming home this evening, and attending the drama practice to relive good times, I was informed by Jason (and Ryan) that our pops concert routine, which at one point looked like it was heading downhill for the second straight year, had promise. We had landed a singer, or so we hope. However, there's just no one in LHS who would be able to do Under My Umbrella any justice. So we've scrapped that from the pops routine and replaced it with a song we can actually play. So if all goes according to plan, our routine will be:
GREATER TUNA:
vocals: Chelsea
lead guitar: Jason
rhythm guitar: Ryan
bass: yours truly
drums and percussion: Austin
-"Jane Says"
-"Seven Nation Army"
-"My United States of Whatever"
One possibility could be that I would field the vocals on Seven Nation Army, just because the song has to have a lower-toned garage sounding vocals... which innocent sounding Chelsea may not be able to do. But all will be answered in time. November 12th is when the concert goes down. Here's hoping it doesn't get cancelled again...
