The Trojans Are Coming!
I may vanish for an unknown amount of time. The price of downloading from Limewire has finally been paid as one of the files I downloaded somehow snuck through Limewire's usually reliable virus detectors. I contracted what appears to be a trojan that's clogging my speed and corrupting random files, one of which was the .exe required to boot up AIM, a program I use every damn day and am crippled without indeed. Several AVG scans later finds it cleaning up the mess the trojan is making, but can't seem to boot out the source. I dug out the ole XP disc and tried to repair the partition. But it's becoming ever apparent that maybe a reformat is needed. And if that doesn't axe the bugger, I may have to resort to a higher authority to get the asshole off my computer.
At any rate, I'm hoping I'm not gone for longer than the duration of the week, but who really knows? It's a bit too late to start the reformat, so I'll be out for at least tomorrow.
