Murrrr...
I got up at 10:30, like I always do on Saturday, watched Sportscenter for like an hour and a half.... and then, I had to go to work... behind the con. stand for the matinee today. We showed The Rundown and Good Boy this afternoon... wow, that matinee tanked today. Ticket sales didn't even breach 400 bucks... between the two registers, we made 200 bucks with change. So, the matinee was a bust, not even breaking 600. And working behind the stand is different than working in the ticket office during a matinee. You work the ticket office, you sell tickets and when you're done, you go home... standard, right? Well, when you work the concession stand, it's not like you work on any other day. When you work any other day, you sell refreshments, clean up the area, then leave accordingly. But during a matinee, you just touch up the place, not a full fledged clean. You have to wait until both movies clear out, then go in and sweep up the entire the theater... and spot mop it. It's so much more work. Granted that you get more cash with the concession versus in the ticket box, but still... I'll take the lesser ticket bonus during the matinee and leave earlier than the greater concession bonus and lose an extra hour and a half of my time.
So, I get done working the matinee... and by now, it's quarter past 4:00... I go down to Subway, grab a sub, go home ... eat it whilst hopping on the computer for about 30-40 minutes before... murrrr.. i have to go BACK to the theater. A couple of my friends did show up which was mad c00L. But, I dunno, I had my mind more prospecting my release to pay attention to anything really. I have to work the matinee tomorrow as well, but I don't work tomorrow night... and I work the ticket box tomorrow afternoon, so it won't be that bad. And I'll really like the amount on my paycheck on Wednesday. My mom is working tomorrow afternoon which is kinda weird for me. I mean, I've been working there for over a year now and it'd just seem really weird to have to work with my mom there. But I guess she isn't going to be added to the payroll... My boss just happens to be my mom's cousin or step-half-brother or something, i dunno (that isn't how i got my job, so hush all you people :-P) so that's why he was considers my mom a "back up/in-case-someone-needs-a-dayoff" type fill-in. Anyway
Yeah, that was my day... real exciting... :-\
LET'S GO, YAN-KEES! ::clap clap clap-clap-clap::
