So, does anyone have any good book suggestions? I want to read something, but I can't quite decide on what.

Ugh. I already know that Snape kills Dumbledore, why would I want to waste my time with the rest of it?

Anyway, any other real suggestions? :)

1) Harry Potter is fucking amazing and I'm constantly discovering new, awesome things about them even when I'm not reading them.

2) Snape's murder of Dumbledore isn't that simple, but you wouldn't now, and it's certainly not the end of all things. There's another book and the bad guy still exists.

1) Most likely it is. I don't doubt you on this fact, but I'm really not in the mood for fantasy right now. And I did try to read Harry Potter once; I lost interest and didn't get far at all.

2) Of course it isn't that simple, and even though I'm not aware of all of the complexity associated with it, does not mean that I assumed it to be a simple matter. I brought it up because when the book first came out and people discovered what happened, everyone made a big damn deal like it was the end of the series and, quite possibly, the world. It was a joke, I suppose; nothing more.

3) You have not answered my question. Do you have any other suggestions for something I can read, or is that all?

Read something by Haruki Murakami. He has a new collection of short stories that I just started and they are pretty good so far.

I'll have to look into it.

Also, do you remember that anthology of science fiction you gave me for my birthday a few years back? I managed to dig it up a little while back and, if I have time, I'm thinking of jumping back into it soon. :D

I remember it. That has some real classics in it and I found it really easy to flip around until I found a good story. I'm glad you're still interested in it. :-)

Rediscover your childhood. Read "The Wind in the Willows". Or something.

Also, Harry Potter. Skip the 6th one, it sucks.

I've heard that "Freakonomics" is interesting, and worth a read. I'm going to start it soon (eventually), and I'll let you know if it's good if you haven't read it by then.

One Hundred Years of Solitude. Or any short stories by Jorge Luis Borges.
