Far Beyond The Stars

So today in English W131 I was totally bored since our teacher wasn't teaching anything new and so while he was giving a boring lecture that we don't even have to know, I zoned out and began writing a poem. This is the first poem I have like ever truly written and mind you it was over the course of 50 minutes while in English class. But hey, here it is ;) Thoughts/Compliments/Death Threats?

Far Beyond the Stars
by Josh Cohen

Looking out,
Breathing not,
Her face dwells upon my thoughts.
With no feelings of pain nor fear
For she is with me here.

My thoughts drift
To a faraway wilderness,
Magnificent Elephants
All proud and gray
Roam the lands
Waiting for that one glorious day.

Traveling far
They do not rest.
The race is long,
So they do their best.

Finally I find her;
A Princess no less.
I kiss her softly
and at last I rest.

Far beyond the stars
Beyond space and time
I am an Elephant
And a Prince for life.
