-I got a glimpse of the crest on those shorts of Winters. Is it really the "paira dice" crest? -Was anybody else as suprised as I was when Spiers decided NOT to shoot that replacement from Item? -When Winters is delivering the news about the German surrender, it looks like Spiers is realizing why it's a Very Bad Idea (tm) to try to outdrink Nixon and Welsh. He's so out of it it's not even funny. -I wonder if part of the trouble that Tab had later in life was due to the fact that he DIDN'T go in and stop that beating. -Interesting that Luz didn't even come in to see what Spiers was going to do to the guy. Even Tab followed Spiers in...but Luz didn't. -the baseball game is awesome! I love seeing all of them so happy! -The one thing about the voice over updates that bugs me is that we aren't told what happened after the war to people like Malark, Toye, Wild Bill, Heffron, even Sobel and Dike and Jones. Instead we get Webster and More. :( -I love the look on Perco's face as he realizes that the war is over. It's like he doesn't WANT to believe it combined with shock that he'll actually be able to go home and see his son for the first time ever.

I know! But I still remember watching BEFORE I bought the books and wondering what had happened. *shrugs* Would have made a nice addition to say something like "Even though Malark, Toye, Guarnere, etc. were not there, they still were with us in spirit. They survived and went on to do X, Y and Z."
