Work, work & more work. Uni's ticking along. I'm in the process of sorting out some study assistance to try and get my exam marks up. I passed last semester ok, but I got a B average which I think could have easily been around A- if my exam technique (i.e. none) hadn't let me down.
I've pretty much decided I want to specialise in Mechatronics Engineering, which is basically a jack of all trades that swings between Mechanical, Electronics & Software. Consider the driving aids in your car, (ABS brakes, traction control etc) they were designed by a Mechatronics engineer. Only problem is that there are only 48 places & about 500 students in first year. The undergrad assoc dean claims we need around a B average to get in, but I think that's conservative. On the plus side, they don't include our General Education paper (mine's in Pharmacy) when calculating the GPA, so that paper's slid to the bottom of my priorities.
I'm starting to realise the extent of my Transformers fandom. I picked up the new "Ultimate Bumblebee" action figure. Imagine a transformer larger than my "Masterpiece Optimus Prime" with animatronics (He sings! He dances! sort of) which I was stoked to get on sale. I claim I saved $60, everyone else will say I spent $90. You say tomato, I say...
For those of you that don't know, Kush has moved out. I'm not going to start a "he said, she said" discussion in this forum, but this is just so people know that a 'Justin & partner' invite is a bit redundant.
I'll be handing our 3 weeks' notice to the landloard tomorrow as I can't manage this place on my own, and I need to find a place to live for next year anyway. If anyone's looking for a house-broken flatmate, give me a call.
I've also approached the uni health service about anger management. I went to the preliminary assessment & was told that I appear to have 'stress' management issues rather than 'anger' management, but it seems like a small distinction. Now I have to wait for them to assign me a regular therapist, but that could take around 3 weeks.
