Why does my daal always come out... mushy?
It's supposed to be like smooth and not mushy. D:
Either way its delicious; my brothers complement my mom on it, when im the one who cooked it :P My mom makes me cook sometimes, and today I had to cook daal and some wierd green squash and make a curry out of it. Iono, i just hate hte smushy daal.
At least I cant screw up the baghaar. (Oil + garlic + cumin + red pepper, fried and dumped on top.)
If you dont like garlic smell on your hands, scrub your hands under water with a spoon (stainless steel of course). It gets the smell off like magic.
I learned that from Martha Stewart.
As much as she scares me, shes got some good wifey tricks yo.
Not that I dont like garlic smell; I love it, it makes me hungry, especially when its cookin in some grease on the range. But other people find it offensive so I'll try to smell nice XD;;
