Snow!
Had a great lazy Christmas week. Did no thesis work and managed to get out under the 10 or so inches of drifting snow to see both Avatar and Sherlock Holmes, whilst spending plenty of time with my fam watching movies we gave each other as gifts.
Fanboys--- totall fun and nicely poinant. Star Wars forever.
re-watched Star Trek 2009--- happy to own it now^_^
Kinky Boots--- I realize that while I love guns and explosions I have a soft spot for feel good foreign films. In complete opposite of my father's penchant for obsessive/love plot-less psych eval kind of foreign films.
Avatar --- was beautiful and stunning. I'm still on the fence about the technology but man was it effective. ^_^ Plot was totally Dances with Wolves meets Fern Gully but hey it was enjoyable.
Sherlock Holmes--- hmm, RDJ with no shirt on. Character wise-I actually liked Watson quite a bit despite my prejudice against the actor. RDJ was of course great. It did seem like an extended gothic victoriana episode of the Mentalist with more action. So all around. Weeeee! And now back to comtemplating RDJ with no shirt on.
