Well, It's been a hell of a month so far.
Shop management makes me feel run-over. And we're getting into the hot weeks (openings) and things keep getting added on and changed and I realized that I really and beyond caring about any of this. I keep looking at this potential avalanche, giving it the evil eye and thinkng, "You come down on my head and I'm just going to ragin lose it all over this thesis thing." Because I am not clairvoyant and can only plan so much without other people fucking it up.
School bought me insurance. Thank you for that despite the fact that I filled out the waiver as I ALREADY HAVE INSURANCE! And there's nothing they can do to take it off since they already paid the company. FORK YOU BEAURACRACY! I want my money back dammit!
I'm squishier than ever and shelled out for WW last week. Here's to not stress eating anymore.
I have no idea what to be for Halloween, which is the kicker really.
On the other hand, Movies galore to keep me entertained whilst working on thesis management paperwork. Ugh.
Marigold--- really fun Hollywood/Bollywood movie! Typical plot but fun . Salman Khan is one of those prett older guys that makes me happy. The only thing that bothered me was Ali Larter, just because I just don't like Ali Larter.
I totally need more Bollywood dancing in my life!
Which brings me to Honeymoon Travels Pvt. Ltd. Which, if I have not mentioned it before, is my all time favorite Bollywood (in english) film. Funny, heartwaeming, goofy with a great, great, Hindi/Salsa/pop soundtrack and exceptional actors. Watch watch watch if you can!
Assassination of a High School President--- very nice dark, high school film with alternate plot lines. twisted and I liked it
Lie To Me--- intriguing television series though I still haven't decided if I actually like it.
Zombieland-- I have never ever gone to see a movie twice in a row. Ever. not even Iron Man got me in a theater two days in a row. See it!!!
Surrogates--- had so much potential but just lacked tension. And James Cromwell reprised his role from I, Robot with Bruce Willis instead.
Brothers Bloom--- Good movie, maybe a little longer than it needed to be, but well done all around. Go indie films.
The International--- Okay, Totally bogus advertizing, because Clive Owen was supposed to be shooting people, but nah it was boring as all get out! and long, and talky and when the shooting did happen it wasn't fun.
Law Abiding Citizen-- cool but strangely predictable and just a bit more gorey than was necessary. The final scene with the exploding bomb was really a great peice of film art though
And for the hell of it I've been watching old school movies. I mean, who doesn't love The Mighty Ducks Trilogy, Crocodile Dundee, Space Jam, Maverick and Lethal Weapon 1-4 and the Die Hards.
The 80's make me soo happy sometimes.
Alas. Must study for Costume History midterm.
