The River Which Flows

I was in the middle of reading an awesome Harry Potter fanfiction (I refuse to accept Snape died!) when I suddenly remembered the words “Debussy Clair de Lune”. Then the image of Edward Cullen saying the word “Debussy” hit me like a fire truck on high alert. I googled it and it was a track featured in the Twilight movie. OK, so the movie might be over-rated but you have to admit that the score for that movie is pure awesomeness. But there was one track that I really wanted to play on my piano. And after searching long and all-mightly hard for it, I FOUND IT! YOU CAN RUN BUT YOU CAN’T HIDE FROM ME!!! Ahem, yes. The song. I present, Carter Burwell (Twilight Score) - Edward At Her Bed.

I wish it was longer. That is probably one of the rare piano solos which I absolutely love and is pushing me back to play my piano. I might just buy the piano score book for it. A lot of people really like Bella’s Lullaby but I think that ‘Edward at her Bed‘ trumps everything. It’s so sad yet hopeful. I would definitely like to learn how to play this piece…

There were two other piano solos which I had downloaded before finally getting the correct ‘Edward at her Bed‘ solo. The video below is of Debussy’s ‘Clair de Lune‘. I can’t seem to find a good video of Carter Burwell’s ‘Bella’s Lullaby‘ on YouTube as there seems to be a lot of confusion between Yiruma’s ‘River Flows In You‘ and Carter Burwell’s version. It’s too late at night for me to try and distinguish which copy I got but it sure is beautiful.
