highly important boardgame business
Sorry for the post on post, BUT--
I'm going to step down as mod here. Just because, well. I've played this game every week or more for the last year and a half. :P It's gotten a little stale for me and I'm really worn out on it. I've been debating doing this for the past few months and with the new year incoming it seems like a good time to do it.
I'm going to run two more weeks -- next week I figure we can try out the sprint setting, which is a game mode that was recently introduced ("After the selected number of rounds, the leading player wins"). The standard finish round is 20, but I'll ask in the check-in post if we want to make it less or more.
Then the next week I figure I'll do (better) what I did this week and run a weekend of an early game and a late game to send us off.
(I also want to see if I can't do a last team game as we haven't had that for a while -- maybe next week the Sprint can run at 2 and I can see if I can get enough players for a 10 PM team game? If you have any opinions on this feel free to comment so I can accommodate as many people as we can.)
Anyway, if anybody wants to take over the comm, I'm happy to give the reins over, for if somebody or a group of people want to take up running the scheduled games or whatever. Otherwise, the comm will always be open for impromptu game hook-ups, but I won't be running any more scheduled games.
