Sun Peaks 2.0
So far this trip has been awesome. Gen and i split a bottle of wine last night and are starting on a new one tonight. The hills have been amazing. Mt Morrissy is absolutely amazing; there is still powder on it and yet no one braves the mountain (its in the shadows most of the day). Gen and I had our dinner delivered to the hot tub last night. Nothing like sitting in a hot tub, your hair frozen, eating a bit of chicken, sipping on a nice shiraz, and enjoying conversation from the locals. I love this town.
Today I went around the mountain with a mohawk and my goggles... it was great, until I got on the mountain and it was a balmy 10ish degrees(f). The runs were fast and tight thru the trees (mike - you would have been proud of me, i didn't fall once). I got up the platter a couple times (which is a bitch on a board) but i fell one time about 100 meter from the top of the lift, so I held onto the platter seat with both hands wrapped around and slid my way up the rest on my back (ask Gen if you dont believe).
Gen and I have dinner with Pete and Katie tonight, a full day of skiing tomorrow (including an on mountain photo shoot). Then after a brief dinner tomorrow Gen and I hit the road back home.
In other life news, those in the know... we are back together again... those who aren't... dont worry yourself too much (I dont think you will anyway). I have another date on tuesday.. yay.
