But first and foremost: Judd and his band Visible From Space have gigs in New York City on Friday the 27th and on Tuesday June 7th. I'll be at both. Details in a recent
post of Judd's and also at his website
www.juddharris.com.
Next: Judd and I will be hosting a get together Wednesday night after the finale. Again, he lays out the
details in awesome fashion.
So... after the show last Wednesday night, Judd and I were talking about what we're going to do when my contract's up (have sex in public was one choice, since I'm currently not allowed to fraternize with men in such a way). The Top 12 all had to sign additional contracts, more than the ones we signed we when made it to the Top 24. The winner's contract is even longer and more restrictive, and we all had to sign that, too, ahead of time, just in case.
This Wednesday, either Carrie or I will be the winner. American Fucking Idol. The other has the kinds of chances that Clay Aiken did and took advantage of so well. Both have their advantages. I won't be a bit disappointed with either one.
Judd and I already made plans and got the necessary permissions a long time ago for him to come on tour with us. There are restrictions about what our relationship can be and appear in public, et cetera, but at least we'll be together. We plan to be together after that, too, wherever either of us needs to go. I found myself wondering if after the AI tour and after I make my album, I'd be able to get my job back at the guitar store ...
It wasn't until then that it TRULY hit me, all the way through, that I probably won't need that sort of job for at least a couple of years.
It's totally mind-blowing.
