Nightswimming deserves a quiet night
So tonight I was feeling incredibly lazy, but decided to go out despite my desire to sleep. It ended up being the best decision I've made in a while.
Tony, Matt, Thomas, and myself went to Foster Ave. beach with a bottle of Jack Daniels and went swimming. The water at 1am on a Monday morning is sublime. Because it felt so incredible to have the whole beach and swimming area to ourselves we have decided it needs to be done again. If anyone has a desire to swim in Lake Michigan in the middle of the night, please let me know and I will tell you when we are going again. Boring nights shall no longer be boring (weather permitting).
In other news, I spent a seemingly much needed weekend in Kankakee. It was not as relaxing as hoped. I spent the weekend playing with three kids 2, 4, and 6 years old. It was fun, but indeed a bit tiring. My godson (the 4 year old) is fucking adorable, and I had a wonderful time being a godfather. I was asked to move to Kankakee with my Aunt and Uncle, and I must say, the offer is quite good. Everything would be paid for, and I would have a car to come back to the city whenever I need. Who knows. I could use a drastic change in my life right about now.
