Soundtrack To My Life

Found this on a friend's journal:
***Create a 15 song play list that best describes your life. And describe why you picked each of the 15 songs. The songs may be from any genre of music, but must be supported with a reasoning as to why its on the list beyond "because it describes me", "because", or "I like it".***

Soundtrack of My Life

1. Blinded By The Light - Bruce Springsteen: The first song my dad ever taught me. I was two.

2. Never is Enough - BNL: Sums up my life of travels… and failures.

3. What’s So Funny? - Elvis Costello: What IS so funny about peace, love and understanding? Fucking war. I hate it.

4.Wish You Were Here - Pink Floyd: The theme song to deep thoughts on trains.

5. Tiny Dancer - Elton John: There’s a certain freedom about the girl in the song that I love, and I feel like I’ve got a little of that in me. I want this played at my funeral.

6. La Vie En Rose - Louis Armstrong: My fantasy. It's corny and I won't describe it here. But listen to the song.

7. The Way - Blues Traveler: In the movie of my life, this is what plays over the last scene and the end credits.

8. Arrivederci Roma - Perry Como: For the Italian in me. It’s what my family sings when we’re drunk. We wave red napkins above our heads and knock things over.

9. Fireworks - Tragically Hip: That manic happiness that comes from being outside with friends. Summer concerts.

10. 32 Flavors - Ani Difranco: Feminist folk rock at its finest.

11. What a Good Boy - BNL: Describes the hardest times in my life. That’s also when I listened to it the most.

12. Ca Plane Pour Moi - Plastic Bertrand: So many things happen that make me think “Psh. That WOULD happen to me!” Alors, ca plane pour moi.

13. Buona Serra - Louis Prima: The cooking song. Max volume in the kitchen. My alone time and my zen.

14. Blueberry Hill - Fats Domino: My introduction to music, a la my father. He gave me my love for blues music. And Fats helped.

15. Sweet Home Chicago - Blues Brothers: Everything the blues was meant to be, about the town where blues lives.
