Seinfeld And Pop Punk (A Good Day Indeed)

Jan 14, 2007 22:21

At breakfast this morning, I predicted that this would be a good day. And, believe it or not, I was right! Perhaps it's my good mood and my optimism, but things went very well.

James (roommate) did not have a good night, so I let him lay around and watch episodes of Seinfeld. I love that show for multiple reasons: the characters, the setting (New York City, one of my favorite places in the world), the jokes, the plots. And, oh yeah, I love my roommate. He is definitely one of my best friends here and I think he'll be one that I'll have for the rest of my life. I straightened up some things on my side of the room, something that I have anxiously awaited since I got here. I listened to Dookie by Green Day and fell in love with "Sassafras Roots." I believe that I've heard it before, but it's still just an honest love song. Of course, that's according to me, the same person who thought "They'll Need A Crane" and "I've Got A Match" were love songs, songs about divorce and a bitter break-up respectively. I can call them, definitely.

There wasn't much about today that clearly shows why today was so good. Honestly, it wasn't one of the greatest days, but I had a good time. This will be a pretty normal week and I'll be waiting for the weekend. Somebody very special is coming to visit and I may just have a blast this weekend.

Hey! That doesn't mean that the rest of you can't come up and visit me sometime. I would love it if you did, but I understand that you don't really have time for that. Still, it'd be pretty neat. Anyway, I'm off. Take care everyone.
