I have been neglecting the poor LJ. I always mean to copy from MySpace blogs and paste here, but I never do. If you want, come over to:
www.myspace.com/monpine and hit up the blog. It will make you feel like you never lost touch with the blithering dorkiness that I usually post to this thing.
In an effort to make me feel like this thing is still useful, here is some blog-age.

What is that sound? Why, I believe it's the *chug-a-chug-a* of the Fucking Awesome Train...it's just off in the distance but it's headed this way! It's making a stop on September 12th.
Why the dramatics? Because I realize that I am only two weeks away from the release of Barenaked Ladies Are Me (BLAM). And I just so happen to be OFF that day! So, I'm in the mood to road trip it somewhere. Any ideas?
See, six years ago on September 12th, my friend Clyde and I skipped school to buy the BNL album Maroon. We drove around, visited friends, stopped to eat, all the while playing Maroon on repeat. It's still one of my favorite BNL albums and favorite memories of all time. Since the planets have aligned and the new CD comes out six years to the day, it'd be cool (cool meaning geeky and weird) to do something like that again. However, Clyde doesn't really hang out with anyone but Alexis too much anymore, so I'm most likely going this one alone. At least in the car...
...because as I mentioned, I'd like to have a destination to head towards as I scrutinize and ultimately fall in love with BLAM. So, what I'm asking is...who has nothing to do at some point on September 12th? I have to work on Wednesday the 13th (but not until 1) so I can't go to Canada or anything...but I'm talking to people like John, Brandon, Chrissy, Garcia, or anyone else that doesn't live in the Ville and wants a visit on the 12th.
Don't worry about me running out of new audio experiences. BLAM Deluxe Edition has 29 songs, and these other CD's will be released on the same day:
John Mayer - Continuum
Ima Robot - From Monument to the Masses
Eliot Morris - What's Mine is Yours
Even The Office - Season 2 will be released that day. I know, I know. I'm a huge dork and no one else would be getting this excited about a CD release. I don't care. So, tell me if you're up for a visit, leave me a comment, send an email, give me a call, or fax me at 1-888-RALPHISSOAWESOMEANDIWOULDBEHONOREDTOHAVEHIMVISITMEINMYTOWNONSEPTEMBER12 and I will consider all options. If it's all in the same area, maybe I'll visit a few people. I don't know. Things could get crazy.
Anything can happen on a day like that. I'm excited!
