Well, FF.net is apparently angry with me today, so I guess I'll post this here instead. Haven't posted here in awhile, but maybe there are still people reading. Who knows

Gah, so completely adorable and IC and then THAT ENDING COMES UP AND BLINDSIDES YOU. SOB. This is a lovely portrait of Mike and Fi as they were, are and could be.
Yeah, I wanted to write a situation like she described in the Pilot, where he would shoot her on purpose, but I ended up deciding that he would never do that unless it would some how save her life. And then I wondered what in the world would be happening that she would be so intent on risking her life that he'd have to shoot her, and well...there you go. There was no way it was going to be anything besides depressing. But hey, their life is tragic.
*NODS* I can see Mike doing that to save her life, absolutely.
*Will just...be in this corner pretending the kidnapper took the baby for ransom and burnt the house to hide the babysitter's body and show Mike and Fi they meant business*
This was really fantastic, and the entire "Last Time" section really blew me away. I prefer to think that somehow the baby made it out, maybe the arsonist's conscience got to him at the end, because it is just too sad to imagine a toddler getting burned alive. However, I really did love this story; it was such a unique story concept!
Oh - that was so good, and the last time was sooooo sad. So incredibly sad - how could you give them a happily ever after and then do that to it? Ripped me to shreds.
